Erin's 1st Birthday

Erin's 1st birthday party started with the guest of honor sleeping past 2:00. Family and friends were there to greet her when she woke up.

What's a party without presents?

Tickle Me Elmo, the present to match the theme of the party. I believe that the adults enjoyed it as much or more than Erin, although Erin thinks that a moving Elmo is worthing smiling over!

Daddy was ready to play basketball and softball with Erin so he bought them-no one is surprised! I predict that golf clubs will be next year.

Erin was eager to play with each present, instead of ripping open every package quickly. We had to entice her to keep opening instead of playing, especially with the Tickle Me Elmo. Now I know why they are so popular. I think that I am more amused than Erin!

Erin had a fabulous selection of toys and clothes given to her. Erin's friend Grace was very helpful opening presents since she was experienced from her party two weeks before.

Erin enjoys reading cards, on her time schedule. We hadn't started opening presents when Erin decided to move the show along.

Erin's First Birthday Cake

While it was Erin's first birthday, it was really her mom's party in honor of Erin. Erin was recovering from croup but enjoyed all the festivities anyway. The cake was no fun to smash until she tasted the icing, then it was worth having dirty hands!
